Caddelle presents a Sculpture merged with an Augmented Reality App at SculptX 2019
Caddelle’s extended reality sculpture “All embracing” explores the tactile and intangible presence through the use of an App. The steel and glass sculpture blends traditional arts with the multi-faceted digital experience with a life size augmented 3D sculpture.
“The blending and merging of traditional and virtual arts is opening an exciting new frontier for creativity, discovery and innovation enabling multi-sensory interaction." - Caddelle
Caddelle is a Multi-disciplinary and extended reality artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He explores this consequential divide with an innate link to the mediums of the “traditional” arts and the multi-faceted digital experience; for him, the immersive is not a solitary experience but rather one of sharing the discovery that contemporary art making can deliver. With this in mind he invites the viewer to interact and participate in both the tactile and digital evolution of art.
To Download the App: Search Caddelle EL 1 on Google play store - for android phone, requires android 8 to work.
