The more time we spend online, the more of our lives are being moved to the digital space. 

With the rise of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and the Metaverse, the way we interact and see each other as humans is going to be an increasingly digital experience. 

If the last couple of years has taught us anything, it is that the digital space is becoming more important for all areas of life - from business meetings to socialising. As the technology of how we interact becomes more involved, humanity’s natural vanity will take over. Paying for upgrades for our avatars to look closer to our ideal selves - or even to look how we want to look rather than how we are - will become more commonplace.

Transference into a digital space for many interactions is coming. Not as pure consciousness, but more as speculated in Ready Player One. This digital space is going to change the way we perceive ourselves as people, and how we communicate with each other. Some of the technology is already there, but it remains to be seen if we can cross that uncanny valley and be able to form meaningful relationships with each other’s digital avatars.
