A curated selection from just prior to the Covid19 global lockdown to where we are at now. The lockdown accelerated the path into a digital world. This digital world has opened up a whole new set of challenges, good and bad. AI & Robotics is going further affect our space on this physical/actual planet we temporarily occupy. Where do we fit in? Will we end up in the singularity assimilating with the machine?
In the space of two years, the world changed irrevocably. The preceding talk of the 4th industrial revolution to a battle that saw the realisation of a new digital world.

Date created: 2017 -2019
These works represent a massive shift in the work I had been doing. I also wanted to merge two mediums into one. Traditional painting on canvas with a digital overlay representing the new digital age we will be entering. I did this by UV printing the geometric shapes and lines over the painting. (oil & acyrlic)

The world is in a state of unrest and uncertainty, with people rising up and protesting all over the globe. There seems to be a force at play, inciting a shift for change and causing widespread destabilization. The consequences of these actions are far-reaching and unpredictable, with the potential to disrupt the way we live, work, and interact with one another. The digital world is rapidly evolving, and we are all caught up in it. It is a challenging and uncertain time, but it is up to us to rise up and face these challenges head on.

The more time we spend online, the more of our lives are being moved to the digital space.
With the rise of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and the Metaverse, the way we interact and see each other as humans is going to be an increasingly digital experience.
Transference into a digital space for many interactions is coming. Not as pure consciousness, but more as speculated in Ready Player One. This digital space is going to change the way we perceive ourselves as people, and how we communicate with each other. Some of the technology is already there, but it remains to be seen if we can cross that uncanny valley and be able to form meaningful relationships with each other’s digital avatars.
