A New Perspective

Date Started: 2020

Caddelle’s blending of LIDAR technology with abstract art allows for a virtual reality experience exploring in full 3d the wonders of these artworks. In taking LIDAR imagery and blending them with his unique style, Caddelle is creating a unique perspective on the world, allowing you to not only see the world through his eyes, but to explore the space he’s created. These creations build a bridge between what is real and what is not, exploring ideas of perspective and how we experience the world around us.

Step into 3D Virtual worlds within the artworks.

These artworks are based on LIDAR (light detection and ranging) / Photogrammetry method of photography

It is the measuring of distances by illuminating the target with laser light and measuring the time of reflection the light takes to return to the

sensor and interpreting photographic images and patterns.

LIDAR, Light Detection and Ranging, is a form of 3d modelling currently most frequently used in scientific surveying to map the surface of the Earth and man made structures. Caddelle is taking this technology into the realm of art, capturing images to create 3d landscapes which allow you to explore these worlds as an abstraction and being able to step into it through VR (Virtual Reality).
